MEET TRIGGER
6 years ago, we were looking for a storage building, a lady out by Kersey was giving one away, so the price was right! We went to look at it and it was not what we needed, but she had some adorable Minis. We were asked if we wanted to buy some ponies, the price was crazy and we already had 10 horses, so no need for more hayburners. She called us about a month later and wanted to give us the ponies. Again, my heart is bigger than my brain, I thought I would take them and find good homes for them! The night before we were to pick them up, she called to say someone had bought 5 of the 6 ponies. GREAT! We went to pick up our white bundle of hair, he closely resembles a fluffy marshmellow. We had to pay our portion of the state brand inspection, the grand total of $3.00. Yeah, $3.00! It was been by far, my best investment. We taught Trigger to ride and drive, so now he does BD parties and pony rides. He has paid for himself many times over. Trigger will be at Plumb Farm in Greeley from April 9-21st, so go show him some love!

Dolly and Trigger, our mini, gave riding lessons to my favorite 5 year old. Miss Lilly loves to groom and clean the horses feet. She had to get after Trigger today, because he was orney. Sometimes is is good to be the boss, especially when you are 5. Donna our old Percheron, loves Lilly, She stands very patiently to be groomed and have her hooves painted with condtioner. The old gal is growing on me, I think I love her.

My heart is bigger than my brain and I always root for the smaller or weaker, kid or animal. Last month an old black percheron come into my life. She is older than dirt, kinda like me. She had been left to fend for herslf in the Wyoming Mountains. She needed dewormed and lots of good groceries. She found both at LeRoy's farm. Took her out for a drive last night, she's a Cadillac in disquise. . We drove right thru town and I'm not sure she even noticed the kids on bikes, cars, or semi truck. What she did notice was the people who stopped to pet her and told her what a pretty girl she is. She may not be able to work hard, like the rest of her stablemates, but she will be able to enjoy a slow carriage ride and be loved by people, who know an oldie but a goodie!!
